United Socialist Party

The Venezuelan United Socialist Party (Partido Socialista Unido de Venezuela, PSUV) is a political party in Venezuela that was established in 2007. It was created by Hugo Chávez, the then President of Venezuela, with the aim of uniting various pro-Chávez…   parties and movements into a single political entity to support the Bolivarian Revolution. The Bolivarian Revolution refers to the social, political, and economic policies implemented by Chávez, which were named after Simón Bolívar, a 19th-century independence leader.<br /><br />The PSUV is rooted in socialist ideology and advocates for the establishment of a socialist state.
