The Venezuelan Popular Will (Voluntad Popular in Spanish) is a political party that emerged in Venezuela as a significant force advocating for social democracy and progressive change. Founded in 2009 by Leopoldo López, a prominent opposition leader, the party has positioned itself as a key player in the Venezuelan political landscape, particularly within the opposition to the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) led by Nicolás Maduro, and previously Hugo Chávez.
